Al Sharq Healthcare was founded in 1996, and operates as a subsidiary of Fujairah National Group (FNG), one of the largest commercial diversified groups on the East Coast of the United Arab Emirates. Fujairah National Group was founded in 1982, and now supports 40 companies and more than 4,000 employees across ever major business sector. As part of its long standing connection to the sea, Al Sharq Healthcare supports three distinct Marine Medical companies – Fujairah Port Medical Centre, Fujairah Port Pharmacy and Marine Pharma FZE – the ships medicine supply company.
Together with these Marine focused companies, Al Sharq provides comprehensive medical services to a large population of the emirate that are employed in the Sea, Air and Land, offering an end to end service from initial illness/injury through to diagnosis, treatment and recovery. Where it relates to ship based patients, Fujairah Port Medical Centre has the capability to immediately attend to, diagnose and stabilize casualties at sea, referring them as necessary to the state of the art 100 bed Al Sharq Hospital, which provides all major medical and surgical specialties, including a Cardiac Cath Lab, advanced operating theatres, a sophisticated Intensive Care Unit (with isolation as needed) and comprehensive diagnostic services (MRI, CT, Digital X-ray and fully equipped central laboratory).
Fujairah is rightly known as the jewel of the Middle East. Its unique strategic location offers free access to the major shipping routes of the world, making it the pick of ports for international entrepreneurs. Today Fujairah is one of the biggest bunkering and oil storage stations of the world and with the Government and Private investments plan up to 2030, the whole country is gearing up to modernize services on an international platform.
